NMRC Awards Ceremony and Research Symposium 2019 – Celebrating NMRC's 25th Anniversary
NMRC organises the NMRC Awards Ceremony and Research Symposium annually and this event encompasses the presentation of awards to outstanding Clinician Scientists and provides a platform to showcase ongoing research and NMRC-funded projects. It is an opportunity for interaction amongst the research scientists, clinical communities and industry players. The expected number of participants for the event is about 300 to 400 and it is attended by senior government officials, clinicians, researchers, scientists and senior representatives from the healthcare institutions, research institutes and healthcare/biomedical industry stakeholders.
For the event in 2019, we are planning to showcase the various research programmes and feature outstanding Clinician Scientists as well as discussion on various aspects of biomedical research. Minister for Health will be invited as the Guest-of-Honour to grace this event. There will be theme-based concurrent tracks based on the five therapeutic areas identified as national priorities under the RIE2020 strategy (Cancers, Cardiovascular diseases, Diabetes mellitus and related metabolic/ endocrine disorders, Infectious diseases, and Neurological and sense disorders), as well as health services research and industry/clinical research.
This year’s booth exhibitors include National Health Innovation Centre (NHIC), Singapore Clinical Research Institute (SCRI), Diagnostics Development (DxD) Hub, Singapore Biodesign, Experimental Drug Development Centre (EDDC) and College of Clinician Scientists.
